THE PSYCHOLOGICAL WISDOM OF THE LORD'S PRAYER." Part IV

(English) Sentence # 4: "Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." As I mentioned in my previous posts, the first sentence of the "Lord's Prayer" ('Our Father who Art in Heaven') remind us, from the point of view of Analytical Psychology, that God is in each of us, and God is the center of the human unconscious. Analytical Psychology uses the term, the "Self" (which is different from the ego), to describe God in us. The second sentence of the prayer ('Hallowed be Thy Name') is asking us to view and hold the Self -the center of the interior life- as sacred and divine in our daily life. The third sentence of the prayer ("Thy Kingdom come") emphasizes that the Self (or God in us) does communicate with our ego (for example, dreams and synchronicities are two ways of such communication), and that encouraging and furthering this communication is psychologically important. What does the fourth sentence, 'Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven' mean psychologically? It means that the ego will fulfill the directives of the Self, both intellectually and at a practical level. In other words, each of us is called to develop imaginatively and to put into practice what the Self -God in us- is hinting at us through synchronicities, dreams, active imaginations, and other images.

LA SABIDURIA PSICOLOGICA DE LA ORACION, "PADRE NUESTRO." Frase #4: "Hagase Tu Voluntad aqui en la Tierra, com en el Cielo." Como he mencionado en mis publicaciones anteriores, la primera frase de la "ORACIÓN DEL SEÑOR" ('Padre Nuestro que estas en el cielo') nos recuerda, desde el punto de vista de la Psicología Analítica, que Dios está en cada uno de nosotros, y que Dios es el centro del inconsciente humano. La Psicología Analítica utiliza el término, el "Self" (que es diferente del ego), para describir a Dios adentro de nosotros. La segunda frase de la oración ('Santificado sea Tu Nombre') nos está pidiendo ver y mantener el Self -el centro de la vida interior-como algo sagrado y divino en nuestra vida diaria. La tercera frase de la oración ("Venga a nosotros Tu reino") hace hincapié en que el Self (o Dios adentro de nosotros) se comunica con nuestro ego (por ejemplo, los sueños y los sincronicidades son dos maneras de tal comunicación), y que alentar y promover esta comunicación es psicológicamente importante. Qué significa psicologicamente la cuarta frase, 'Hagase Tu voluntad aqui en la tierra, como en el cielo' ? Significa que el ego debe cumplir las directivas y enseñanzas del Self, tanto intelectualmente como a nivel práctico. En otras palabras, cada uno de nosotros está llamado a desarrollar imaginativamente y a poner en práctica lo que el Self (Dios en nosotros) nos está haciendo alusión a través de sincronicidades, sueños, imaginación activa, y otras imágenes.
