THE PSYCHOLOGICAL WISDOM OF THE "LORD'S PRAYER." Part III

Sentence # 3: "Thy Kingdom Come." As I mentioned in my previous posts, the first sentence of the "Lord's Prayer" ('Our Father who Art in Heaven') remind us, from the point of view of Analytical Psychology, that God is in each of us. Analytical Psychology (Jung) has named 'God in us' the Self, who is the center of the unconscious. The second sentence of the prayer ('Hallowed be Thy Name') is asking us to view and hold the Self -the center of the interior life- as sacred and divine. The inner life is psychologically precious. What does the third sentence, 'Thy Kingdom Come'? It may mean that the Self communicates with our ego, and that encouraging and furthering this communication is psychologically important. The Self uses dreams and other series of images to communicate important psychological information to the ego for healing and for living meaningfully: this is one of the ways the kingdom of God comes to each of us in order to heal and guide our psychological lives.

LA SABIDURÍA PSICOLÓGICA DE LA ORACIÓN, "PADRE NUESTRO". Frase # 3: "Venga Tu Reino". Como mencioné en mis articulos anteriores, la primera oración del "Padre Nuestro" ('Padre Nuestro que estás en el cielo') nos recuerda, desde el punto de vista de la Psicología Analítica, que Dios está en el interior de nosotros. La psicología analítica (Jung) ha llamado a "Dios en nosotros" el Sí mismo (Self), que es el centro del inconsciente. La segunda oración del Padre Nuestro ('Santificado sea tu nombre') nos pide que veamos y sostengamos al Self (El Si Mismo) -el centro de la vida interior- como algo sagrado y divino. La vida interior es psicológicamente preciosa. ¿Qué significa la tercera frase de dicha oracion, 'Venga Tu Reino'? Podria significar que el Self se comunica con nuestro ego, y que fomentar y promover esta comunicación es psicológicamente importante. El Self usa los sueños y otras series de imágenes mentales para comunicar información psicológica importante al ego con el proposito de sanacion y que la vida encuentre sentido: esta es una de las formas en que el reino de Dios viene a cada uno de nosotros para sanar y guiar nuestras vidas psicológicas.
