The Psychological Wisdom of "The Lord's Prayer." Part IX.

(English) THE PSYCHOLOGICAL WISDOM OF THE "LORD'S PRAYER." Sentence # 9: "... but deliver us from evil..." Let us remember, first, what we previously said about the first seven sentences of this prayer: the first sentence of the "Lord's Prayer" ('Our Father who Art in Heaven') remind us that God (the Self) is the center of the human unconscious. The second sentence of the prayer ('Hallowed be Thy Name') is asking us to view and hold the Self -the center of the inner life or God in us- as sacred and divine. The third sentence of the prayer ("Thy Kingdom come") emphasizes that listening to the Self is psychologically important. The fourth sentence ("Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven") suggests psychologically that the ego has the responsibility of fulfilling mentally and physically the directives of the Self or God within. The 5th sentence ('Give us this day our daily bread') may suggest that each person can receive, from the center of the unconscious -the Self or God in us- the necessary psychological and spiritual nourishment to live life daily. The sixth sentence ("...And forgive us our trespasses...") may mean that we need to ask God in us (or the center of our interior life) for forgiveness when we betray ourselves. The seventh sentence ("...as we forgive those who trespass against us ) may emphasize two issues: the importance of tolerance and forgiveness towards the Center of our Interior Life (Self or God within) when it insists that the ego takes a path that is needed for individuation, even if it is not want it wants, as well as tolerance towards other people's shadows. The eighth sentence ("...and lead us not into temptation...") mean the ego needs to humbly solicit help from the center of our interior life (the Self) in order not to be caught in a psychological complex and "tempting" ways, which ultimately undermine our humanity. The last sentence is a request from the ego to the Self not to be unconsciously identified with negative aspects of the personality in order to move towards the balance of the opposites inwardly. (Español) LA SABIDURÍA PSICOLÓGICA DE LA ORACIÓN "PADRE NUESTRO." Frase #9: "... y libranos del mal..." Recordemos, primero, lo que anteriormente dijimos sobre las siete primeras frases de esta oración: la primera frase de la "Oración del Señor" ('Nuestro Padre que Arte en el Cielo') nos recuerda que Dios (el yo) es el centro del inconsciente humano. La segunda frase de la oración ('Hallorido sea tu nombre') nos está pidiendo que veamos y sostengamos el centro de la vida interior o de Dios en nosotros-como sagrado y divino. La tercera frase de la oración ("Tu reino viene") enfatiza que escuchar al Ser es psicológicamente importante. La cuarta frase ("Tu voluntad se hará en la tierra, como está en el cielo") sugiere psicológicamente que el ego tiene la responsabilidad de cumplir mentalmente y físicamente las directivas del Ser o de Dios dentro. La 5 ª frase ('Danos este día nuestro pan diario') puede sugerir que cada persona puede recibir, desde el centro del inconsciente-el Ser o Dios en nosotros-el alimento psicológico y espiritual necesario para vivir la vida a diario. La sexta frase ("... Y perdónanos nuestras ofensas...") puede significar que tenemos que pedirle a Dios en nosotros (o en el centro de nuestra vida interior) para el perdón cuando nos traicionamos a nosotros mismos. La séptima frase ("... como perdonamos a los que nos atacan) puede enfaticar dos temas: la importancia de la tolerancia y el perdón hacia el Centro de nuestra Vida Interior (Auto o Dios dentro) cuando insiste en que el ego toma un camino que Se necesita para la individuación, incluso si no es querer, así como la tolerancia hacia las sombras de otras personas. La octava frase ("... y no nos lleve a la tentación...") significa que el ego necesita solicitar ayuda del inconsciente o del centro de nuestra vida interior para no ser atrapado en un complejo psicológico que en última instancia socava nuestra humanidad. La ultima frase ("...y libranos del mal...") es una peticion al centro de nuestro inconsciente de trascender una identificacion inconsciente con aspectos destructivos de la personalidad y acercarnos al balance de los opuestos en la vida interior.
