THE DENIAL OF THE INNER REALITY/ LA NEGACION DE LA REALIDAD INTERNA

(English/Spanish) "THE EXPERIENCE OF THE SELF IS ALWAYS A DEFEAT FOR THE EGO" (Jung). We usually live our life as if our ego was the only determining reality of our psychological life. There is a systematic neglect of our inner reality -the unconscious. People do not question the existence of consciousness or the ego because they experience them daily. Unfortunately, people have serious doubts about the existence of an inner world possibly because they have not become aware of it or have not experienced it. In addition, our ego does not want to relinquish its position of authority and power; that is why, when we become aware of our inner life and its primary and fundamental role in determining our psychological life, our ego rejects it; otherwise, the ego will have to go through a humbling process of having to accept that the real center of authority is located in the unconscious -the Self-, which will be painfully disappointing to the ego. (Spanish) " LA EXPERIENCIA DEL SELF SIEMPRE ES UNA DERROTA PARA EL EGO" (Jung). Usualmente vivimos nuestras vida como si nuestro ego fuese la unica realidad determinante de nuestra vida psicologica. Hay una negligencia sistematica de nuestra realidad interior -el inconsciente. La gente no duda de la existencia de lo consciente o del ego puesto que lo experimentan diariamente. Desafortunadamente la gente tiene serias dudas acerca de la existencia de un mundo interior porque no se han dado cuenta de el, o no lo han vivido. Ademas, nuestro ego no quiere abdicar su posicion ded autoridad y poder; es por ello que cuando nos damos cuenta de nuestra vida interna y de su rol primario, fundamental, y determinante en nuestra vida psicologica, nuestro ego lo rechaza; de lo contrario, tendria que atravesar por un proceso humilde de tener que aceptar que el centro real de autoridad esta localizado en el inconsciente -el Self-, lo cual sera doloroso y decepcionante para el ego.
