SELF-REALIZATION AND THE DIVINE IN US.
"What is important and meaningful to my life is that I shall live as fully as possible to fulfill the Divine within me" (Jung) The Divine in us is the essential truth within our interior life, and should not be confused, at all, with any Judeo-Christian precept or biblical idea. There is a center within us, which we are not usually aware of, that usually provides, every night, a visual portrait of our talents, skills, abilities in addition to repressed aspects of our personality. The inward and outward integration, or self-realization, of the Divine in us is key for, both, healing the wounds in our souls and living a meaningful life. People generally confuse, unfortunately, the essential truths of the interior life with the wishes, desires, and longings of the ego. The former is unconscious and monumental, and it requires a painstaking process of bringing them to consciousness; the latter is small and easily accessible to consciousness. Let us live to fulfill, as fully as possible, the Divine in us. Have a balanced journey, traveler!
I've been circling this idea for a while—how often the ego's wants mask what the soul actually needs, and how painful the unlearning process can be. The part about dreaming being a nightly portrait of our talents and repressed sides really resonated with me, as I so rarely sit with that material consciously.
